Hello! My name is Heather Joshi. I was born in Central Florida and moved around the USA's east coast throughout my childhood. I received a Studio Art BFA and an English BA at the University of Florida. Then, I went on to earn my MFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of Georgia.

I draw traditionally and digitally, paint, perform, and make videos. For Byzantine monks, the act of painting was a form of prayer. Similarly, drawing my interior life and everyday experiences is how I pause and give thanks.

Since 2014, I have taught studio art foundations at the college level. I also served as an education intern and docent at museums. Plus, I conducted several workshops for art centers. It is a privilege to interact with energetic, creative individuals!

In my free time, I spend quality time with my husband and family, pet my adopted beagle mix, walk and listen to audiobooks. Sci-fi and fantasy are my favorite genres!
